In March 2024, a team from ORSKOREA visited the Daegu headquarters and factory of Daesung Hi-Tech (Nomura DS). The delegation included ORSKOREA Managing Director Shim Jho Whoun, R&D Technical Advisor Lee Dae-Yong, and members of the sales team and ORS Bearings team.

This special visit was an opportunity for the two companies to share their technological expertise and visions and explore potential areas of collaboration.

Key Products: Automatic Lathes and Compact Machining Centers

By acquiring the 75-year-old automatic lathe brand NOMURA VTC, Daesung Hi-Tech secured the core technology of automatic lathes. The company now produces automatic lathes applicable to advanced industries such as semiconductors, foldable phone hinges, and implants.

Additionally, Daesung Hi-Tech manufactures the 2-Head 2-Spindle compact machining center, a dedicated equipment for processing module parts such as electric vehicle battery cases and motors. The company supplies this product to partner companies of the three major domestic battery manufacturers.

미래를 향한 국내기업의 협력

이번 방문을 통해 오알에스코리아와 대성하이텍은 양사의 기술력과 시장 경험을 결합하여 새로운 시너지를 창출하고, 미래 성장 동력을 확보하기 위한 구체적인 방안을 논의했습니다. 특히, 정밀 부품 분야의 기술 협력, 공동 연구개발, 해외 시장 진출 협력 등을 중심으로 활발한 협력을 추진할 계획입니다.

Through this visit, ORSKOREA and Daesung Hi-Tech discussed specific ways to combine their technological expertise and market experience to create new synergies and secure future growth drivers. In particular, they plan to actively promote collaboration in the areas of precision parts technology cooperation, joint research and development, and overseas market entry cooperation.

Managing Director Shim Jho Whoun of ORSKOREA stated: "This visit to Daesung Hi-Tech allowed us to concretely verify the potential for cooperation between the two companies.
